In this video tutorial we will learn an easy way to make a light burst effect around a text. For achieving that we use a variety of filters. At first we create the text and we apply to our document the Gaussian Blur filter to make the text’s edges more smooth. After that we use the Solarize filter from menu Filter > Stylize. The most important filters we use in this tutorial are the Polar Coordinates and the Wind, because these are the basic tools for creating our burst effect. At last, we use some Blend modes to give the effect our desirable color.
